Today’s kindness through self care tip is to stop being so busy as a measurement of importance and live to enjoy life instead.

Life is not a competition. Is it worth having a high degree of productivity but depleting our energy, freedom and enjoyment in order to stay in the rat race of life? Why do we feel a need to be busy all the time to justify ourselves and our existence? Why do we feel unworthy without that validation or badge of honour? What preconceived notion in our minds gives us the belief system that busy us actually better?

How about for a change we shift that mindset on how we invest our time and do nothing for a change and sleep in for a bit longer? Will anything happen to those dishes if we attend to them a bit later? I think not.

Or how about you give yourself permission to have some fun and focus on what really matters to you in your life? That can mean anything from some quiet time alone or with family, friends or coworkers for a change god forbid?

Let go of any social conditions or patterns that tell you how you need to be and reclaim your childlike innocence again.

Give yourself that grace and freedom to enjoy life as you should and don’t feel guilty that you need to earn it. It’s your birth right to live the best life possible!

What did you do for your own enjoyment without being busy today and how did it feel?

Thx (A)Mina
